Orpheum and Princess Theatres, view southeast across Ellis St. to Orpheum (1631 Ellis, opened March 11, 1907, became Garrick Theater in 1909) and Princess (1671 Ellis, opened August 31, 1907, became Ellis Theatre in 1935) Both theatres eventually became churches and were demolished in the 1970's as part of Fillmore redevelopment. - [SF, Calif.
