Ellis & Cyril Magnin circa 1911

View east on Ellis toward Powell and rear of Flood Building at center, Humboldt Bank Building in the distance. The buildings at right (Hotel Maison Doree, Hotel Holland) stand in the current right of way of Cyril Magnin (5th Street North) at the corner of Anna Lane. 21-line streetcar at left. Hotel Tallac at left, Continental Hotel at right. Golden West Hotel above streetcar at left. Scaffolding in distance above the streetcar is likely the construction of the Cort Theatre at 46 Ellis Street, which opened on September 2, 1911.
