San Bruno, Tanforan Racetrack Sep 1917

World War I, View south toward Army men in exercising formation a row of eucalyptus in the background, the US Army's California 2nd Field Artillery, The Grizzlies, trained at the then closed Tanforan racetrack from August to October 1917. The track had been closed for years & the grandstand would be torn down in 1918.
