Oakland 1917

WWI Liberty Bonds Promotion, Oakland women Lenore Bredull and Virginia Arnold promoting the sale of war bonds and posing with the Zerolene polar bear in front of a Standard Oil gas station. (the polar bear was the symbol for Zerolene Oil. Statues were made for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Expo (PPIE) and later installed at Standard Stations around the Bay Area
