Geary & Webster circa 1959

Elevated view north across Geary and empty blocks between Webster and Buchanan, toward Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1760 Post, and the church hall at 1946 Post on the north side. The building hosted Paul Robeson in a speaking engagement on March 26, 1946 when it was home to God in Christ Church. Prior to WWII it was the First Reform Church, home to a Japanese congregation
