24th & Utah Aug 11, 1920

United Railroads, 19-line streetcar # 773 outside the 24th & Utah car house. This series of cars (771-118) had interesting histories: from 1908 through 1914 they were uses as flatcars carrying parade floats for Portola festivals. In 1918 they were built with new bodies with only a single bulkhead (partition) thus impossible to keep warm. Officially always called 'Portola' Cars due to their flat car years, but unofficially, they were the Pneumonia Specials (EE) [U07183]
