Mare Island circa 1951

View west across the Napa River from Vallejo toward Mare Island Shipyards, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) hopper dredge A. Mackenzie at center. The Mckenzie had been damaged in WWII in the Pacific and overhaul was completed at Mare Island in 1949. (not sure of this date)
