Castro & Jersey May 1941

United Railroads Castro Cable car #133 being removed from the Jersey Street barn (now the site of Walgreens) The car was an original Castro Cable car that ran from the Ferry Building to 26th & Castro until the earthquake of 1906. It was stored in the barn until 1941, when it was towed to Elkton and burned. Attempts were made to preserve it, but no takers were found.
