Golden Gate Park circa 1918

A view north across Main (now JFK) Drive toward the Conservatory of Flowers. ["The Thinker", Golden Gate Park - When the Panama-Pacific Exposition closed this famous piece of Rodin statuary which deservedly attracted so much attention was permanently secured for the park and given its present appropriate setting. On the right is the Park Conservatory] The Thinker was installed at this spot on Favorite Point in 1916, then moved to the Palace of Legion of Honor in 1924. - (mailed 1919)
