Hotel Whitcomb circa 1911

View south across Market near 8th Street. The new Hotel Whitcomb was built in 1911 as the Temporary City Hall with the intent that it be converted a hotel once the permanent City Hall was built. It served as City Hall from 1911-1915, and still stands in 2023. [Temporary City Hall - Wright, Rushforth & Cahill Architects SF 516] [On the Road of a Thousand Wonders]
