Sutter & Steiner circa 1910

Southwest corner of Sutter and Steiner. The New Alcazar Theatre opened in March 1907 after the downtown Alcazar was lost in 1906, it was renamed the Republic in 1911 when a new downtown Alcazar was built. It later was known as the Uptown.
